Description
ZONSKY's Flame Spread Tester is a device that evaluates how flames spread across the surface of materials in a horizontal direction. This test simulates real fire conditions by applying a controlled flame to a sample placed in a defined testing area, allowing for the observation and measurement of flame characteristics.
Product applications: Evaluation of flame spread on materials for construction, maritime transport (complies with IMO FTP Code Resolution A.653(16)), and any industry requiring classification of fire reaction of surfaces exposed to radiation and pilot flame.
Main components: Control cabinet, test device, computer, heat flow meter calibration system, and smoke exhaust system. Includes radiant panel made of porous refractory tiles (450mm × 300mm), with radiant intensity up to 62kW/m² and surface temperature up to 1300°C. Ignition source: radiant panel + propane blowtorch with 150mm flame.
Complies with standards: ISO 5568 and IMO FTP Code Resolution A.653(16). The radiant panel descends in gradient along the specimen (0 to 450mm) with heat flux values according to standard.
