Description
ZONSKY's Low-Temperature Impact Tester determines the brittle temperature of soft plastics—the temperature at which the material becomes brittle and more likely to crack or break under impact. During testing, plastic samples are progressively cooled to lower temperatures and subjected to an impact force. The apparatus records the temperature at which the material fails due to cracking or shattering.
Product applications: Quality control in the soft plastics industry, development of low-temperature resistant materials, compliance with international standards for polymeric materials, classification of brittle temperature (ductile-brittle transition temperature) for applications in cold climates or low-temperature exposure.
Complies with standards: ISO 812, ASTM D2137, DIN 53546, JIS K 6261.
Key specifications: Test temperature range from -10°C to -76°C with accuracy of ±0.5°C. Impact speed of 200 ± 20 cm/s.
