Radiant Panel Test Apparatus – Equipment for evaluation of flame spread on surfaces according to NF P92-501 and ASTM E162

ZONSKY's Radiant Panel Test Apparatus evaluates how flames spread on material surfaces when exposed to heat radiation. This apparatus simulates fire conditions by applying a controlled heat source and measuring the spread rate and extent of flames on the material surface.

Product applications: Reaction to fire tests for rigid or flexible building materials thicker than 5mm (NF P92-501), radiation test method for fire resistance of railway vehicle materials (TB/T 2639.1), and flame spread evaluation according to ASTM E162 and ASTM D3675.

Test parameters: Flame uniform height index (A), longest flame index (S), burning fever index (C).

Main technical features: Stainless steel test box with interior lined with flame-resistant material, dimensions: 1010mm height, 760mm length, 463mm width. 500W radiator with 100mm quartz disk as radiation surface. Sample support frame at 45° test angle with stainless steel indicator ruler. Two movable ignition points (lower and upper part of the sample) with control valves for gas flow. Temperature measurement using thermocouples. Microcomputer and software control system that automatically calculates flame index and combustion fever index.
