Ignitability Apparatus – Test of Surfaces Exposed to Fire according to ASTM D6413-20 and ISO5657-1997

ZONSKY's Ignitability Apparatus is suitable for the ignitability test of fire surfaces when the material (with a thickness greater than 7 mm) comes into contact with the heat source. The test mainly evaluates the material's response to radiant heat and determines whether it will ignite under certain conditions. The test can distinguish which materials are easily ignitable and which are more resistant to ignition, helping to assess the fire hazard of different materials.

Product applications: Evaluation of building and textile materials. Flame resistance test for textiles according to ASTM D6413-20. Ignitability test of building products using a radiant heat source according to ISO5657-1997.

Key technical features: Radiation source with radiant cone rated power from 1 kW to 7 kW/m². Uniform irradiance within ±5% deviation at the reference plane. Ignition mechanism with automatic electronic high-voltage ignition, driven by stepper motor and ball screw. Temperature control system using Advantech (Taiwan) and Mitsubishi (Japan) brands, range 0°C to 1000°C, resolution ±1°C. 304 stainless steel cover plate automatically opened/closed by computer signal.
