Standalone Ceiling Smoke Alarm with Sound and Light, 9 V

A standalone smoke alarm for the ceiling of a bedroom, hallway, kitchen area or small shop, meant to give an early warning when smoke reaches it. When it detects smoke it sounds an alarm and flashes its indicator light. It runs on one 9 V battery (6F22 type), with no wiring needed, and mounts with the plastic bracket shown. The round white plastic body is about 106 mm in diameter and weighs around 150 g. Model SS-168. Test it regularly and replace the battery when it runs low. A smoke alarm is a warning aid and does not replace an evacuation plan.
