Il forno di prova di invecchiamento è adatto per materiali come cuoio, plastica, gomma, tessuto e altri. Permette di osservare la resistenza all'ingiallimento, proprietà di non adesività, restringimento, estensione, tasso di residuo e altre caratteristiche dopo essere stati riscaldati uniformemente a una temperatura e un tempo specifici, consentendo di valutare la loro proprietà di invecchiamento.
