La camera di prova di invecchiamento per resistenza all'ozono è progettata per valutare la resistenza all'invecchiamento da ozono su prodotti in gomma come gomma vulcanizzata, gomma termoplastica e rivestimenti isolanti per cavi. Si misura il cambiamento sulla superficie dei campioni esposti, valutando proprietà come la comparsa di crepe, in condizioni di allungamento statico, deformazione dinamica continua o allungamento alternato statico-dinamico, in una camera a concentrazione costante di ozono e temperatura controllata, senza luce e con circolazione d'aria. Questa apparecchiatura è ampiamente utilizzata in scuole, fabbriche, industria militare e dipartimenti di ricerca.
