Resö est une petite île de Tanum, en Suède. On peut y accéder en bateau ou en traversant le pont, et elle sert de port de plaisance pour les bateaux.
Lorsque la pêche a pris de l'importance au cours du XXe siècle, on comptait 26 bateaux de pêche résidents à Resö au milieu des années 1930.
Aujourd'hui, il existe encore une flotte de pêche active, et il est très possible que ces bateaux soient également utilisés pour des tâches de pêche à plus petite échelle.
Avec ce dessin, je voulais refléter non seulement la beauté des bateaux mais aussi l'espace géographique si typique des pays scandinaves, avec leurs grandes, belles et uniques roches plates. Ces roches se trouvent non seulement sur la côte mais aussi dans les forêts et les montagnes.

María Jimena Navarro is a Chilean painter, holding a Bachelor's degree in Plastic Arts from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. She was a distinguished student of renowned Chilean artists such as Hernán Miranda, Gonzalo Cienfuegos, and Roser Bru. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, both in Chile and abroad, including Guatemala, the United States, and Costa Rica, where she has lived with her family since 2015. With a distinctly Expressionist style, incorporating color to varying degrees, she has dedicated herself to capturing everyday life in a figurative manner, exploring themes that hold personal significance in both imagery and emotional weight. These themes include urban landscapes, the human figure, and the depiction of horses—portrayed as objects in constant motion, expressing their strength and imbued with vibrant color. María Jimena’s painting is an invitation to pause and feel, to remember, or to let ourselves be carried away. It is a tribute to life, reminding us that, ultimately, life is lived in color. In 2022, she ventured into professional writing for the first time, participating in the "César Vidal Christian Novel Award" by The Agustin Agency with her work "Colombina y la Sonrisa de Dios" (Colombina and the Smile of God).
