Ο θάλαμος δοκιμής γήρανσης αντοχής σε όζον έχει σχεδιαστεί για να αξιολογεί την αντοχή στη γήρανση από όζον σε προϊόντα καουτσούκ όπως βουλκανισμένο καουτσούκ, θερμοπλαστικό καουτσούκ και επιστρώσεις μόνωσης καλωδίων. Μετράται η αλλαγή στην επιφάνεια των εκτεθειμένων δειγμάτων, αξιολογώντας ιδιότητες όπως η εμφάνιση ρωγμών, υπό συνθήκες στατικής τάνυσης, συνεχούς δυναμικής παραμόρφωσης ή εναλλασσόμενης στατικής-δυναμικής τάνυσης, σε θάλαμο σταθερής συγκέντρωσης όζοντος και ελεγχόμενης θερμοκρασίας, χωρίς φως και με κυκλοφορία αέρα. Αυτός ο εξοπλισμός χρησιμοποιείται ευρέως σε σχολεία, εργοστάσια, στρατιωτική βιομηχανία και ερευνητικά τμήματα.
